In this intro to arm balances class, we will do a vinyasa flow with different arm balances intertwined.
Arm Balances include but are not limited to crow, side crow, Eka Pada Koudinyasana 1 and 2, and Eight-Angle Pose (Astavakrasana).
There will be prep and several modifications for each asana. All levels welcome. Please remember the first part of the pose is trying the pose, and more importantly, falling out of the pose is part of the pose. :)
Alex Walker is a graduate student and Peace Corps Fellow in Economics at WIU. She has been practicing yoga for seven years and began in her college town of Athens, Georgia. Yoga followed her to West Africa after college. She eventually received her 200 hour certification in Classical Yoga from Kashi Ashram in Atlanta, Georgia. She has taught in her office, ashram, apartment complex, local yoga studio, and to inmates at the Atlanta jail. She is excited to share her knowledge and get involved with the yoga community in Illinois!
