Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition and martial art that has evolved into a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of gentle movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi practice integrates mind, body, and spirit, and has been found to be highly beneficial for stress reduction, improved balance and posture, lowering blood pressure, and a variety of other significant health factors. In this introductory session we will learn some of the basics of the Yang style "short form" in group settings, led by Mitch Williams. Beginners welcome.
Loose fitting clothing and comfortable, flexible-soled shoes are recommended.
